A family owned and run business, Industrias Correagua was founded almost 60 years ago by one Juan Amado. From its inception the main activities of the company included the fabrication of steel products such as roofing material, gas tanks, and speciality projects such as silos, large tanks, flagpoles and bridges, as well as construction. What has remained consistent over the last six decades is the company’s on-going desire to be innovative, utilise new technologies, and identify and harness the potential of new and emerging products.
Today the company is run by the second and third generations of the Zanetti and Amado family and under their leadership Industrias Correagua has branched out and diversified into new production lines such as steel structures, double wall underground tanks and storage racks. In keeping with the company’s heritage it continues to put the newest techniques available to use, particularly in the design and fabrication of speciality steel structure projects. These range from airports and hangars to large capacity tanks and high rise buildings.
Industrias Correagua’s products and services include, but are not limited to, the fabrication and commercialisation of steel products such as roofing materials and steel products such as rebar and wide flanch beams, water storage tanks ranging from 500 to 1,000,000 gallons in capacity, above and below ground fuel tanks, and the exporting of double jacket underground tanks. Further to this, the company specialises in the design, fabrication and commercialisation of storage rack systems, and possesses a range of additional products such as 25 pound residential gas tanks, 50 gallon drums, guard rails and wire mesh.
Being a family owned and operated business, Industrias Correagua’s approach to each and every task is considered highly personal with special care taken with all of its clients, regardless of their size. These clients soon discover that their projects are safe in the hands of highly qualified design and construction engineers, working for a company that strives, wherever possible, to use environmentally conscious procedures.
Without question one of the primary drivers of growth for the company today is the volume of projects currently underway across Panama. These include the well documented expansion of the Panama Canal, the introduction of a Metro line and the continued expansion of the mining sector. What links these vastly different areas of development is that each requires the support of qualified, reliable suppliers, and Industrias Correagua is working hard all the time to meet all the necessary qualifications needed to participate in such projects.
With these projects in development, and many other in the pipeline, it is understandable why the company foresees considerable growth to come in the years ahead. Panama is currently in an enviable position whereby the construction industry is growing, major cities are expanding and there are large numbers of immigrants arriving in the country, bringing with them new skill sets and experiences.
This latter trend is particularly important for Industrias Correagua, which believes that human resource is a vital component to its success, and as such is constantly looking to strengthen that aspect of the business. Meanwhile the company is continuing to expand its sales reach and increasing its exportation capacity, all while providing a healthy working environment for all of its employees.
A proud family business with a rich legacy, Industrias Correagua is similarly proud for being recognised as a leading company in what is a service orientated country, one that is committed to not only its own sustained growth and development, but also the well-being of its partners and clients.
