Express Integrated Technologies, a US-based manufacturer of heat transfer and combustion engineering equipment for the energy exploration industry, has today opened a Canadian office in Calgary, Alberta.
A new company, Express Integrated Technologies Canada, Ltd, has been created to provide technical expertise, aftermarket support and business development personnel to support the ongoing oil sands recovery projects using EIT's once through steam generators (OTSGs).
OTSGs are used in the steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) projects in Alberta, for the recovery of bitumen.Canada has most of the world's supply of natural bitumen giving it the second largest proven oil reserves in the world.
"The opening of our Calgary office demonstrates our long term commitment to serving the Canadian markets and providing support for our existing and future customers in the oil sands," said John Matheson, President of EIT.
The Canadian office will also promote other product lines offered by EIT for installation in Canada, including once through heat recovery steam generators (OTHRSGs), heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), fired heaters and waste heat recovery units.

EIT’s corporate and engineering offices are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, with additional operations in St. George and Murray, Utah; and Locust Grove and Big Cabin, Oklahoma.
