Consolidated Thompson - Bloom Lake

The Bloom Lake Iron Ore Deposit is a 640 million tonne ore body grading approximately 30% Fe. Bloom Lake is a world class development stage iron ore project, with a high recovery and 30 year mine life based on a Feasibility Study completed in April 2007. Bloom Lake is expected to be producing 8 million tonnes of 66.5% iron ore concentrate per year starting Q1 2010. The Bloom Lake deposit sits in a unique location, with ready infrastructure: close proximity to rail, power, road, port, housing for employees, etc. due to it being located in the heart of an existing iron ore camp which currently produces 36.5 million tonnes per year. Consolidated Thompson has secured off-take agreements totaling 8 million tonnes per year for many years (minimum of 7 years to mine life), and has received Board of Directors approval to increase the mine production from 8 million to 16 million tonnes per year on a multi-year basis.
