Expro wins North Sea contract

UK-based oilfield services company Expro has secured a £1.5 million well testing contract in the southern North Sea.

Under the terms of the 12-month contract, Expro will carry out well testing with cased hole logging work. The contract comes as an extension to Expro’s existing project work with the client, an international oil and gas operator.

Expro, which is headquartered in Reading, Berkshire, has been a provider of well testing and wireline services for almost 40 years. The company offers a full suite of technology and expertise to service the needs of its clients throughout the lifecycle of their wells.

Commenting on the deal, Keith Palmer, Europe CIS region director, said: “We have seen strengthening demand for our well testing services across all of our operating regions and continue to develop our cased hole logging business.

“We are delighted with this contract win, which reinforces our market-leading position in the North Sea and further cements our long-standing relationship with this important customer.”

Expro operates in all the major oil and gas regions of the world, employing more than 4,500 people across 50 countries. The company has regional headquarters in Aberdeen, Cape Town, Dubai, Houston, Kuala Lumpur and Rio.

The company was founded in Great Yarmouth in 1973.
